At MB Presents it’s all about the experience - both on and off stage. That is why we not only stage the biggest productions but also go the extra mile off stage.

At the occasion of the premiere of the English-language version of the most popular musical ever, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, at Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen, we treated the cast and crew to our famous Belgian chocolate. Instead of opting for a household name, we decided to give local talent a chance to shine. This time all eyes were not on the stage but on three scrumptious pralines especially designed by Antwerp-based chocolatier Iryna De Peuter (Palette Chocolate).

Iryna is a true master at crafting artisanal, surprising and chocolicious chocolate creations. She combines unique flavours, works as sustainably as possible and selects her ingredients with the utmost care – from fair-trade cocoa to innovative flavour combinations that genuinely surprise. World citizen Iryna was born in Ukraine, trained as a pastry chef in Belgium and then followed her husband to Australia, where she learned the craft of chocolatier. Before long, her artisanal quality pralines earned a stellar reputation. With De Peuter Chocolates she even won a silver medal at the famous Sydney Royal Chocolate Show. After a number of years the family decided to move back to Belgium and here the entrepreneur started over under the name Palette Chocolate. The pralines are available online and from time to time in a pop-up.

Iryna’s talent didn’t go unnoticed in Belgium either: the Gault&Millau Chocolatier Selection 2024 named her ‘Discovery of the Year’ – a title that recognises her exceptional craftsmanship and creativity.

For the cast and crew of Phantom of the Opera she created three exclusive bonbons, each inspired on the iconic story: 🌹 The Red Rose – Fresh raspberry jelly with a refined rose ganache 🎭 The Phantom’s Dark Secret – 70% pure chocolate ganache with a subtle hint of black truffle 💡 The Chandelier’s Fall – Creamy caramel with a pinch of sea salt and vanilla.

Each creation comes in a stylish presentation: a rose, the famous mask and the iconic Phantom of the Opera logo. A small but delicious tribute to a legendary production!

A big thank you to Iryna for these masterpieces – and to our fantastic cast and crew for their talent and passion!
